QUESTION:

DO YOU THINK AND BELIEVE THERE IS PERVERSION OF DIVINE TRUTHS, DISTORTIONS OF BIBLICAL TEACHINGS IN THE CHRISTENDOM TODAY?

GURU’S RESPONSE:

Perversion of divine messages is commonplace today because they are transmitted through tons and tons of different kinds of people in today’s world. We are encapsulated by tons and tons of materialistic pastors therefore, perversion of divine teachings is one of the greatest problems besetting Christianity.

Christian doctrine was pristine and simple when it was first spoken through the lips of the master Jesus. Physically, the master Jesus is no longer with us, therefore, it is the responsibility of tons and tons of pastors to promulgate and interpret his teachings. The world has never been the same ever since.

Materialistically-minded and ambitious pastors distort divine teachings to shield their ungodly activities and mislead their spiritually-naive followers. Distortion of divine teachings has enhanced the materialistic propensities of the rank and file of the Christian faith and encouraged acrimonious living with adherents of other religions etc.

2 PETER 3:6 -16…HE WRITES THE SAME WAY IN ALL HIS LETTERS, SPEAKING IN THEM OF THESE MATTERS.HIS LETTERS CONTAIN SOME THINGS THAT ARE HARD TO UNDERSTAND, WHICH IGNORANT AND UNSTABLE PEOPLE DISTORT, AS THEY DO THE OTHER SCRIPTURES, TO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION.

 QUESTION:

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ABOUT IDOLIZATION OF THE MEN OF GOD

 GURU’S RESPONSE

Majority of people will idolize you the moment you provide their material needs or tell them what they want to hear. The master Jesus opted to go away when it became obvious to him the people were idolizing his personality instead of the message of salvation he came to deliver. Remember they wanted to make him their king etc.

In the end, the master Jesus said it is expedient that I go away if I don’t go away, the comforter will not come.

What does that denote? The master Jesus was telling them, as long as, they continue to focus on his personality, they will never attain self-realization. Sadly, these days, most Christians indulge in the idolization of their pastors.

Idolization is some sort of emotional adoration of a person which one might mistakenly believe to be impeccable. True Christians are expected to idealize the divine truths, disseminated by pastors and not the pastoral personalities themselves.

JOHN 5:41-44… “i do not accept glory from human beings, but I know you, I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.  I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God’’?

Our planet is a place of deception, it has always been. In our modern age, there is a wide-spread decline of moral values. Also, religion truthfulness, uprightness has been taken to smithereens. It appears nothing is really working anymore.

Of a truth, I tell you, if you pine to rapidly become a successful pastor, all you need do is to indulge in activities, orchestrate extra-ordinary activities that will promote your name and indulge in much advertisement to promote your ministry. If you do all the aforementioned successfully, majority of people will wholeheartedly accept you, and hysterically defend all your activities and utterances. Majority of people will freely, hand over themselves to you,

Physically and emotionally. They will allow you to do their thinking for them. Most popular pastors are not as holy as they profess to be. However, genuine pastors that are humble and meek, making no claims, will not be received or neither celebrated by the peoples of this world.

Genuine pastors who are true representatives of the meek Jesus are striving to help the spiritually ignorant masses to attain freedom from the firm grasp of materialism and attain superiority over the weakness of the flesh because this is the ultimate purpose of life. How many people are listening to them? very few of us, I presume.

QUESTION:

I WANT YOU TO SHED LIGHT ON THE SPIRITUAL DEFINITION OF REMISSION OF SIN

GURU’S RESPONSE:

The holy bible is awash with contrary pronouncements. For instance, our elder brother John said, behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. Meanwhile, Apostle Paul said whatsoever a brother man soweth that shall he also reap.

GALATIANS 6:7.. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

JOHN 1:29…the next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

How are we going to correlate these two, obviously, antithetical statements of St. John and Apostle Paul? Well, in this age of intellectual enlightenment, most people believe, I mean, really believe, you are responsible for your own deeds. Someone else must not carry the can. This assertion by majority of people conforms with apostle Paul’s statement of sowing and reaping.

Tons and tons of people profess to be Christians but only a few of them strictly adhere to the commandments of the master Jesus. Majority of Christians have decided to let the master Jesus suffer for them, because he likes that, while they go on committing sin. They always make compassionate appeal to the master Jesus,…. our dear Christ, we are mortals, we are very weak, therefore we cannot abandon our sinful ways of life. So please, suffer for us you’ve done it once just keep on doing it.

To Christians in this category, sowing and reaping await them. As human beings, we are the embodiment of imperfections. We are motivated by selfishness to do many vile things which include selfish repentance.

Now pertaining repentance, I am of the opinion there is conditional and unconditional repentance. Conditional repentance is commonplace in society. Most people repented for selfish reasons. They believe, if they repent, the blood of Jesus will cleanse them of all their sins and they can start making use of Matthew 7 verse 7 to demand what they want.

MATTHEW 7:7 ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

After several months or years, born again Christians belonging to the category of conditional repentance will painfully realize they are yet to achieve their innermost heart desires. Why you might ask? They might actually be passing through the reaping process apostle Paul talked about or perhaps, the nature of their trials is preventing them from obtaining their heart’s desires.

Despite St John’s proclamation of the blood of the lamb getting rid of our sins, which tend to suggest that, Christ should please continue to suffer for us, while we continue to indulge in sinful activities, I want to make clearer, sowing and reaping proclamation of apostle Paul is very active in all spheres of human life.

Sowing and reaping is a cosmic law, therefore, it cannot be changed. Every one of us must pass through the reaping process. Remission of sin, payment of a karmic debt, is actually taking place, as a mortal is passing through the experience of what we might call tragedies upon tragedies.  A mortal can only remit its sin by accepting its own guilt.

1 CORINTHIANS 11:25 In the same manner he also took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

Quite revealing. Take this cup and drink in remembrance of me. What does this denote?  The master Jesus is urging us to drink the cup of human travails however bitter it may be. As you take the cup and drink remembering that Christ reside within you, your acceptance of the cup of human travails means you are being saved by the spirit of Christ residing within you.

JOHN 18:10-11… then said Jesus unto Peter, put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

Again, the Master Jesus said the cup which my father had given me, shall I not drink it? It means, accept your earthly trials in good faith. It means, submit to your karma rather than fighting it. When someone is confronted by a pathetic heart-wrenching situation which the person cannot change. obviously, it is the person’s karma.

We must learn to surrender to the will of the divine knowing that it is the will of the almighty God. Most modern churches are replete with prayer warriors and fighters. They confront any problem interfering with their human happiness. Despite their gung-ho posture, most of these problems are still there. Run, run, there is nowhere to run.
