Identifying Fake Churches And Their Warning Signs - Guru Deseye Subai
It is safe to say we live in the era of false churches and prophets, but here are some of the easy ways to spot them.

Identifying Fake Churches And Their Warning Signs

Matt 24:11 – “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” It is safe to say we live in an era of false churches and prophets. As we advance in every aspect of our lives, people continue to search for a purpose and reason to live. And as expected many people turn to religious institutions to feel that void in their life.

This ever-increasing demand and desire has led to an increase in churches. This would not have posed a problem if these churches focused on the spiritual growth of their members. But many of the churches have deviated from their true purpose and focused on their selfish interests.

So many people have fallen prey to these churches, and many more will fall. This brings us to the focus of this article – how you can spot false churches.

How To Spot False Churches

As many as fake churches are, their telltale signs are quite common and easy to spot. Here are some common signs of fake churches:

  1. They advise or encourage their members to consume items that are not safe or inherently made for human consumption.
  2. They constantly perform different unnecessary theatrics.
  3. Disabled people always come in for healing. In most cases, some churches pay people to act disabled.
  4. Members of these churches always deal with or face physical abuse and assault.
  5. They fixate on payment of tithe or other fees paid to the church. Members are promised an increase in financial capacity as long as they increase their payments to the church.
  6. There is an abnormal focus on the ability to speak in tongues.
  7. The key focus is on prosperity, riches, immediate reward and power.

What You Should Know About Fake Churches

Sometimes false churches are a result of deceit. Some church leaders are deceived by demons posing as angels of God. When they become desperate for certain things, and constantly pray and beg for that particular thing, evil spirits see that as an opportunity. These evil spirits take advantage of the desperation and infiltrate the church leader’s mind.

In other cases, the church leader intentionally invites evil spirits into their bodies in other to possess powers. These powers are used to deceive and manipulate the members of their church.

In your search for spiritual fulfillment beware of false churches. You can only find true spiritual fulfillment in churches that focus on Jesus Christ, help you cultivate higher value, and attach less importance to material things.

  1. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any
problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has
a lot of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it
is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any ways to help stop
content from being stolen? I’d certainly appreciate it.

  2. Sweet blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News.

Do you have any suggestions on how to get listed in Yahoo News?
I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Many thanks

  3. When I originally commented I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added-
checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get four
emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is a way you can remove me from that service?

    Cheers!

  4. I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog.
Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep
up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a great
    blog like this one today.
