Breaking Free: Powerful Strategies to Overcome Drug Dependence and Reclaim Your Life!

Have you experienced the highest level of indescribable happiness? I highly doubt that. I am not referring to happiness that comes from riches and achievement of your materialistic goals in life. I am referring to the happiness that comes from the expansion of your consciousness which can only be achieved through many years of mediation and rigorous training.

Do you know that drug addicts are the happiest people on earth?

Yes, they are. They have achieved consciousness expansion and that is why they are the assumed to be the happiest people on earth. But sadly and regrettably, they used certain harmful drugs to expand their consciousness and arrived at the highest level of indescribable happiness. Drug usage destroys the nervous system and the etheric body which is the foundation upon which your physical body is resting.

Why is it so difficult to get out of drug addiction?

Drug induced expansion of consciousness makes you vulnerable to evil entities residing in the Spirit world. Earth bound wandering souls of the dead or elemental spirits of various kinds will hobnob and attach themselves to drug addicts so that they will persuade them to do evil things without bothering about the consequences of their evil actions. The moment evil entities get hold of a drug addict they will never depart until the person is completely destroyed.

Although not everyone who uses illegal drugs or prescription medication will go on to develop an addiction, there are some who will become physically dependent on these substances. This is because the drugs alter the way the brain functions and over time, the affected person’s brain and body will come to expect these substances to arrive. The brain will adapt to the presence of drugs and will produce less feel good chemicals than it did when the individual initially began taking the substance(s). This is known as “Tolerance” and usually results in a temptation to take more of the drugs in order to achieve the desired effect. However, the more drugs the individual takes, the more he or she will come to depend on them, which can quickly lead to addiction. Once you understand this, it will mean the question of why is drug addiction so hard to overcome starts to make more sense.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

Here are some tips that could aid on the journey to overcoming drug dependence:

1. Surround yourself with supportive people.

One of the most important things you can do to stay sober is to find friends who are sober, too. While it may be hard to cut off unhealthy relationships of your past, hanging out with people who support your need to stay clean will pay off in the long run.

2.Find new hobbies.

Staying busy is the best way to keep your mind off your desire to use. Not only that, but establishing an interesting and rewarding hobby can also help you find joy and purpose in your life, and replace your old unhealthy habits with new drug free activities.

3.Exercise.

Working out is good for the body and the mind. As your physical health improves, you’ll also experience the “natural high” of endorphins, which can elevate your mood. An exercise routine creates a structure to your days, helping to reduce your riskof a relapse.

4.Volunteer or join a Church.

Finding a cause to support while in recovery allows you to help others while helping yourself. Giving back to the community or finding a community like the church can help you discover a sense of purpose, build healthy connections and friendships, and make you feel good about the contributions you are making to society.

5.Eat well.

The food you eat has a serious impact on your wellbeing. By making sure you consume a healthy, well-rounded diet, you’ll keep yourself in shape – both physically and mentally. And if you’re feeling good, then you’re less likely to turn to drugs for a mood booster.

6.Talk it out.

Sometimes, you need someone to talk to about what’s going on in your recovery. Sharing your thoughts with someone who understands your experiences and can help support you through the difficult times is invaluable. Find a local support group, work with a sponsor, or call up a trusted friend to talk to when the going gets tough.

7. Meditate or practice yoga.

Mindfulness exercises like yoga have been proven to relieve stress and anxiety, as well as to decrease blood pressure and improve immune function. Developing a meditation practice can help you to find calm and peace, and quiet your mind in an otherwise turbulent time.
