YOU ARE, LITERALLY, WHAT YOU EAT.

Life-threatening diseases would have been an unfathomable phenomenon if the human bloodstream was pure and the human body was not full of waste matter. Thousands of individuals are currently lying miserably in hospital beds waiting for the replacement of some damaged crucial organ like their heart or kidneys. In hindsight, they were voracious consumers of modern, highly processed food, which are the sole cause of some of the aforementioned illnesses.

“The human body is full of waste matter from the food we imbibe.”

Most of the goodness of food is ruined during preparation, and even the little nutrients that are not ruined during preparation turn poisonous when served in numerous varieties and large quantities, giving rise to acids, gases, and fermentation that impair the food after consumption and stop it from producing healthy blood and the right vitamins.

All the vital organs in the human system are effervescent and were created to serve us till we expire from planet earth, but impure blood cannot nourish the nerves and every part of the body. Modernity parades tons of health-destroying foods. Unless we are out of pocket, Nigerians are ostentatious. With enough money, we strut into a supermarket and prudently select enough poison in the form of delicious biscuits, canned foods, chocolates, soft drinks, etc., and store them in a fridge. On a daily basis, we imbibe them with great relish, but as we approach senility, terrible life-threatening diseases spurt and prevent us from living our old age in ease and good health.

Be informed coffee, tea, ice cream, meat pies, chicken pies, gravies, fried foods, pastries, soft drinks, very hot or extremely cold foods, chewing gum, white flour, canned meat, spices, vinegar, condiments, salted meat, and fish cause infallible harm to the human system. When preparing food, be prudent not to destroy the vitamins, minerals, and life-giving and sustaining properties. It is critical that we consume seventy-five to ninety-five percent alkaline food on a daily basis. Lovers of fried foods should bear in mind that fried foods are indigestible and are highly poisonous to the system.

“Mental nourishment is as important as physical nourishment”

This brings me to mental nourishment. Many people are indifferent about the kinds of thoughts they store in their minds and their emotional nature. Nutritious food for the mind comes from pure and pristine thought trains. The Master Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”. We must imbibe highly nutritious food to sustain the human body while the mind is fed by pure thoughts. In the same vein, anger can cause infallible damage to the human body. Anger has the power to dissipate all noble qualities of mind and soul; it can bring one down to complete destruction. We cannot completely evade anger, but whenever it comes, we should meditate on religious words and strive to replace anger with pure religious thoughts.

Keep poise, both mentally and physically. Don’t allow gossip, irritability, extravagances, envy, jealousy, revenge, and similar influences to become part of you, “For as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is”.
